ToolTack Sector/Industry Performance Tracker
A daily-timeframe performance dashboard that ranks 39 sector, industry, and thematic ETFs across eight return windows, with heat-map, EMA trend flag, and relative-strength score vs SPY.
Multi-Asset Equities (US Sector, Industry & Thematic ETFs — benchmarked against SPY) A professional TradingView indicator that turns sector rotation into a single, ranked, colour-coded table. Sector/Industry Performance Tracker pulls daily data from 39 hand-picked sector, industry, and thematic ETFs — from AI and Semiconductors to Energy, Gold Miners, Uranium, Biotech, and Emerging Markets — and grades each one across eight return windows (1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, YTD, 1 Year, 3 Years). Every cell is heat-mapped from deep green to deep red, a Trend column flags whether price is above or below its 200-EMA, and a Relative Strength column scores each theme against SPY so you can see at a glance which corners of the market are leading and which are lagging.

Overview
Sector/Industry Performance Tracker plotted on a daily chart — 39 themes ranked by YTD return, heat-mapped across eight timeframes, with BULL/BEAR trend flags and a relative-strength score versus SPY in the right-hand column. ToolTack Sector/Industry Performance Tracker is a one-screen market dashboard for TradingView. It runs exclusively on the Daily timeframe and refuses to load on intraday charts, so the data you see is always comparable across themes. On every bar update, the indicator pulls fresh price data from 39 sector and industry ETFs plus SPY as the benchmark. Each row in the table represents one theme — AI / Robotics, Biotech, Semiconductors, Gold Miners, Bitcoin Miners, Cybersecurity, Aerospace & Defense, Energy, Real Estate, Regional Banks, Uranium, Cloud Computing, Emerging Markets, and twenty-six more. Eight performance columns show the return over 1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, Year-to-Date, 1 Year, and 3 Years. Each return cell is shaded with a four-step heat map on both the upside and the downside, so strong leaders glow bright green and deep laggards burn bright red. A Trend column reads the daily 200-EMA for every theme and prints a green ▲ BULL badge when price is above it, or a red ▼ BEAR badge when price is below it. A Relative Strength column then subtracts SPY’s return over the same lookback window from each theme’s return and prints a dotted strength rating — three filled dots for strong leaders, three hollow dots for deep laggards — alongside the exact percentage spread. Sorting is fully user-controlled. Choose any of the eight timeframes from the Sort By dropdown and the entire table re-ranks instantly, pushing the strongest themes to the top and the weakest to the bottom. The default sort is YTD, which is the most common rotation lens used by professional traders, but you can switch to 1 Day to spot today’s movers, to 3 Months to find emerging leadership, or to 3 Years to identify long-term trend regimes. Position and size are also fully configurable. The table can be anchored Top, Middle, or Bottom on the vertical axis, and Left, Center, or Right on the horizontal axis, so it never blocks the price action you actually want to see. Three text-size presets — Small, Medium, and Large — adapt the dashboard to laptop screens, desktop monitors, and presentation displays without redrawing anything. The colour palette is the signature ToolTack dark-green theme, designed for long-session readability against TradingView’s dark backgrounds. Header rows, alternating row shading, and clear borders keep 39 rows of dense data legible at a glance. Sector/Industry Performance Tracker is a daily-only tool by design. It works on every US equity chart you load — pick any liquid symbol, switch to the Daily timeframe, and the dashboard immediately ranks the entire sector and thematic universe in one view. Swing traders use it on Sunday evenings to plan the week’s focus list, identifying which two or three themes are showing the strongest YTD and 3-Month leadership combined with a BULL trend flag and a positive RS score. Day traders use it before the US open to spot one-day outliers — themes that jumped or dumped the previous session — and decide which sector ETFs or constituent stocks to put on their watchlist. Position traders and portfolio managers use it weekly to monitor rotation across 1-Year and 3-Year windows, rebalancing exposure toward themes that are still in established BULL trends with consistent positive relative strength. Macro traders use it as a real-time risk-on / risk-off gauge — when Long Term Treasuries (TLT), Utilities (XLU), and Consumer Staples (XLP) lead while Semiconductors (SMH), Growth (VUG), and Biotech (XBI) lag, the table itself becomes the regime signal. The most common way to use the indicator is to scan top-to-bottom in the default YTD sort, mark every row that prints ▲ BULL with a positive RS score, then cross-check the 1-Month and 3-Month columns to confirm leadership is still active rather than stale. From there, you can drill into any leading theme by loading its ticker (visible in the Ticker column) onto the chart and applying your own entry indicator. Sector/Industry Performance Tracker is built as a one-page decision-support tool, not a signal-generating system. It does not fire BUY or SELL alerts, place stops, or set targets — its job is to show you where capital is flowing and where it is leaving, so your trade selection is anchored in the strongest available themes rather than in random tickers. For best results, always combine the dashboard’s leadership view with your own entry, stop, and risk-management framework — and revisit it weekly, because sector leadership is one of the few market signals that rotates slowly enough to be reliably actionable.
Who It's For
Sector/Industry Performance Tracker is built for swing traders, position traders, portfolio managers, and macro-aware day traders who want a single screen that ranks the entire US sector and thematic universe by performance. It suits beginners who need a structured way to find “what’s working right now” without flipping through dozens of charts, intermediate traders who use sector rotation to filter their watchlist, and advanced traders who blend trend (200-EMA), momentum (multi-window returns), and relative strength (vs SPY) into a single rotation framework. It works equally well as a weekend planning tool, a pre-market scan, and a live regime monitor during the US session.
Why It's Useful
Sector/Industry Performance Tracker removes the three biggest reasons traders end up in the wrong themes — flipping through too many charts, comparing apples-to-oranges timeframes, and ignoring whether a move is actually strong relative to the broader market. Instead of opening 39 separate charts to check returns, the indicator pulls them all into one ranked table and heat-maps every cell so leaders and laggards are visible in under a second. Eight aligned timeframes from 1 Day to 3 Years let you confirm that today’s mover is also a real trend, not a one-day spike, while the 200-EMA Trend column filters out short-lived bounces in long-term downtrends. The Relative Strength column versus SPY is the killer feature — it tells you which themes are not just up, but up more than the market, which is the only reliable signal of genuine leadership. Sortable columns mean the same table serves a 1-day scalper, a YTD swing trader, and a 3-year portfolio manager without any reconfiguration.
